*Hope, Faith, and Failure in a Hostile World, Les Sillars/Jordan Emswiller, - LIVE Online Q&A at 11am on Sundays at https://us04web.zoom.us/j/5250040589

As someone said, you can’t know what you’re supposed to do until you know what stories you’re part of. The Old Testament tells the story of Israel’s up-and-down covenant relationship with God -- and it’s our story: Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration.

To know who we are, where we came from, and where we’re going, we need to know that story. In this course we’ll survey the second half of the Old Testament, covering the kings and prophets of Israel from Solomon through the Babylonian exile and return to the Promised Land. We’ll learn what it means to live in hope in a hostile culture, and to know God’s grace even in our own faithlessness.

*James: Being God’s Friend, Part II, Don Den Hartog,

Being God’s child and being His friend are not one and the same. Being His friend involves responding to life’s trials correctly. We invite you to join us as we continue our study of the Epistle of James to discover what a correct response is and how we can experience real friendship with God. We’d love for you to join us!

“Encore Fellowship” is specially designed for the 60+ generation who want not only spiritual teaching from God’s Word, but social interaction with others in the classroom. Our desire is summed up in the words of the TV Sit-Com, years ago, which said: “Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came.” Visit us in the Hospitality Suite on Sundays at 10:45 a.m. We are focusing on the Book of Genesis and taking a view from 30,000 feet up.

*Ecclesiastes, Jim Annable, ON HOLD AT THIS TIME

Ecclesiastes is a puzzle for scholars. Debates surround when it was written, who wrote it, and why it was even included in the canon. But it is a book for our time, and addresses perfectly the moods of both our current culture and the church.
