This is your primetime.
We believe the people who make up the 60+ age group have much to offer in terms of their life experiences, wisdom, and gifts, even in their older years. If you're in this stage of life and call Fellowship home, we have some tremendous opportunities for you. We realize all seniors are not the same. But what we do have in common is Jesus, and that makes all the difference in the world.
As a result we have three primary ministries, particularly fashioned for you.
Sunday morning class
This class, offered every Sunday morning throughout the year, is led by Dave Compton in the Hospitality Suite at 10:45 a.m. Encore has a 3-fold focus: an emphasis on Scripture, an emphasis on Socialization, and an emphasis on Serving others. It’s a loving and caring community. One can attend at any time and be warmly welcomed.
This monthly luncheon, with different guest speakers, provides a spiritual and social element in our relationship building. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month (excluding the summer months).
Our get-togethers include praying for each other, our families, friends and other needs, and offering support and encouragement toward each other. We plan special activities that promote fellowship, friendship and fun. We also host events that benefit FBC, our missionaries, and community.
Second Wednesday of the month, September–May
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Hospitality Suite
The third option for Senior Adults are the four Senior’s Community Groups which are available in different venues during the week. Our desire is for every Senior Adult at FBC to be involved in a small group by which relationships can be developed and spiritual maturity can be enhanced. Our Seniors’ Mantra is:
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25
